  •  red velvet cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
  • cream cheese, softened
  • granulated sugar
  •  heavy whipping cream, cold
  • vanilla extract
  • cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the red velvet cake by cutting it into bite-sized cubes if store-bought or baking from scratch and allowing it to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix until creamy.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold it into the cheesecake mixture.
  • Layer the trifle starting with red velvet cake cubes followed by cheesecake filling. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  • Top with whipped cream and dust cocoa powder over it for decoration.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
