Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Stir in melted butter and salt.
Gradually add flour until dough forms; knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour).
Punch down dough, divide into small pieces, roll into ropes about 1 inch thick, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Boil water with baking soda; drop pretzel bites for 30 seconds each before placing them on a lined baking sheet.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt; bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
