Ingredients
all-purpose flour
sugar
baking powder
warm milk (or water)
plain yogurt
instant dry yeast
vegetable oil or melted butter
melted garlic butter (optional, for brushing)
Fresh chopped cilantro or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking powder.
Add yeast mixture, yogurt, and oil to the flour mix. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into a teardrop or oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.
Heat a cast iron or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook each naan for 1–2 minutes per side until bubbled and golden.
Brush with garlic butter and sprinkle with herbs if desired.
Serve warm.
