Ingredients
  

  •  all-purpose flour
  • unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  •  granulated sugar
  •  salt
  •  iced water
  •  tart apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled and sliced
  • ground cinnamon
  • lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • 1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add iced water until the dough comes together.
  • 2. Chill: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • 3. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 4. Prepare Apples: In a bowl, toss sliced apples with cinnamon and lemon juice until coated.
  • 5. Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about twelve inches in diameter.
  • 6. Assemble Galette: Place the apple mixture in the center of the dough, leaving edges uncovered. Fold edges over apples gently.
  • 7. Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
