spaghetti or linguine
large shrimp peeled and deveined
unsalted butter divided
olive oil
cloves minced
red pepper flakes optional
chicken or vegetable broth
heavy cream

Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp:Heat 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from the pot and set aside.
Cook the Pasta:In the same pot, add the remaining 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) for 1 minute until fragrant.Pour in the broth and bring it to a boil. Add the spaghetti and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
Make the Sauce:Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Combine and Serve:Return the cooked shrimp to the pot and toss to coat in the sauce. Let everything heat through for 1-2 minutes.Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for added brightness.
