Ingredients
  

  • boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  •  olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder
  •  Italian seasoning
  • garlic minced
  • chicken broth
  •  jar marinara sauce
  •  penne or rotini pasta uncooked
  •  mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • cream optional, for extra creaminess
  •  pepper flakes optional, for spice
  •  fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Chicken:Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat.Add chicken, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is lightly golden but not fully cooked.
  • Add Garlic and Liquids:Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.Pour in the chicken broth and marinara sauce, then bring to a simmer.
  • Cook the Pasta:Add the uncooked pasta to the pot, ensuring it’s submerged in the liquid.Cover and simmer on medium heat for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Make It Cheesy:Stir in Parmesan cheese and heavy cream (if using).Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, cover with a lid, and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish and Serve:Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley.Serve hot and enjoy!
