Cream Cheese Avocado Bites are a delightful, creamy, and crispy appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion. This savory bite-sized treat combines rich avocado, smooth cream cheese, crispy bacon, and a refreshing hint of lime, creating an irresistible flavor that will leave everyone wanting more.

Ingredients
  

  • packages of cream cheese, softened
  • large avocados, diced small
  • bacon, crisp and crumbled
  •  Sharp cheddar, shredded
  • Pepper Jack cheese, shredded
  •  diced jalapenos
  • green onions, sliced
  •  cilantro, chopped
  •  red onions, diced
  •  garlic salt
  • Cajun seasoning
  • pepper
  • lime juice
  • buttermilk
  • egg
  •  flour
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Fry the bacon until crispy, then place the fried bacon on a plate lined with paper towels. Once cool enough to handle, crumble and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese for 2-3 minutes on medium speed until creamy.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, except the avocados, and stir.
  • Gently stir the diced avocados into the mixture, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the fridge for an hour
  • Add flour to a bowl.
  • Whisk buttermilk and egg together in another bowl.
  • Place bread crumbs in a third bowl.
  • Form about a tablespoon of the mixture into a ball.
  • Roll each ball in flour, then into the buttermilk mixture, and lastly into the bread crumbs. Place on a baking sheet that will fit into the freezer.
  • Flash freeze for about an hour so they hold their shape while frying.
  • Using a large cast iron pan or heavy-bottom pan, heat oil over medium heat to 350°F.
  • Place approximately 6-8 balls in the frying pan and fry until golden brown, turning frequently, for approximately 2 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
